Aurora and Church

１０月２，３，４と見事なオーロラが出ました。
広美はまだ今年はあまりオーロラの写真を撮っていなかったので、写真を撮ることにしました。
オーロラそのものを見るには街灯の無い郊外のほうがいいのですが、背景があったほうが
写真写りがいいので、ダウンタウンに出かけて撮りました。
オーロラが大変明るく、デジカメC-2000z(オリンパス)を絞りF2.0、感度ISO400相当に設定して、4秒の露光で
以下のような写真が撮れました。
Bright auroras appeared on Oct. 2, 3, 4.
I, Hiromi had not taken so many photos of auroras that I took many photos in this time.
I went downtown because I wanted to take photos of auroras with buildings,
although suburbs in which there are less streetlights are better to see aurora.
Aurora was so bright that I could the following pictures using a digital camera, Olympus C-2000z
set as F2.0 aperture, ISO400 equivalent sensitivity, and 4 sec. exposure.









町の明かりといっしょに写してこんなに写ってしまうのですから、今回のオーロラが
いかに明るいかがわかると思います。
You may be able to realize how bright this aurora is, from this photo which was taken with streetlights.



今年は太陽が11年に一度の活動期を迎えているので、オーロラの明るさ、頻度とも絶好調です。
皆さんもフェアバンクスに旅行に来たときはぜひ写真に挑戦してみてくださいね。
2月、3月頃が特に見頃ですよ。 私はよくアラスカ大学のオーロラ予報を利用します。
まあ、数日以内の予報なので、旅行日を決めるのには役に立たないけど。。
Not only brightness, but also frequency is maximum in this season because solar activity is maximum now.
Try to take pictures when you come to Fairbanks. February and March are the best months.
I often see aurora forecast broadcast by University of Alaska.
But it may be useless to decide tour plan because it forecasts only few days prior the day. . .
